In Mbita, Kenya, I partnered with Beyond the Call to produce a series of promotional films for Christ’s Gift Academy (CGA), a school serving children and families in an underserved fishing community along Lake Victoria.

Traveling alone to Kenya, I met on location with the founder of Beyond the Call to document the powerful stories emerging from the academy. Together, we filmed and produced multiple pieces highlighting the mission of CGA, the resilience of its students, and the life-changing impact of education rooted in faith. I led post-production and editing for the campaign.

These films were created to inspire partnership, expand awareness, and support the continued growth of the academy.

Featured Story: Walter

Walter’s story captures the heart of Christ’s Gift Academy. After the loss of his father, Walter faced significant challenges at a young age. Despite living more than a mile from school, he walks the distance every day to attend classes.

His determination reflects the transformative role CGA plays—not just providing education, but stability, community, and hope for children navigating difficult circumstances. Walter’s story is a testament to perseverance and the power of opportunity.

Featured Story: Angeline

Angeline is a graduate of Christ’s Gift Academy and is now pursuing higher education in college. Her journey represents the long-term impact of CGA’s mission—raising up students who go on to break cycles of poverty and create new futures for themselves and their families.

Her story highlights the importance of sustained investment in education and mentorship, demonstrating what is possible when faith, community, and opportunity intersect.

General Promotional Film – Christ’s Gift Academy

The primary promotional piece introduces viewers to the heart of CGA: a Christ-centered education model serving vulnerable children in Mbita. Through classroom footage, interviews, and community visuals, the film presents the academy as both a school and a lifeline—providing academic instruction, spiritual formation, meals, and a safe environment.

The project balances documentary storytelling with clear messaging, equipping supporters with a deeper understanding of the school’s mission and measurable impact.
